Welcome

Dear friend, welcome you to this space as the main communication channel of the Eighth General Assembly of Lay Claretian Movement. Come in, get informed and involved if you like with your comments.

The Lay Claretian Movement meets every four years somewhere in the world to share the path taken by each of its component communities, review and plan their future.

It’s been 27 years since a group of lay people around the world, animated by the same missionary spirit and evangelization, was recognized as a great charismatic community as the inspiration of St. Anthony Mary Claret. Still ran by the Church Council and the whirlwind of the first lay Claretian, with the indispensable assistance of our religious brothers, identified themselves and marked a path of holiness in our "Sourcebook."

During this time, in various assemblies have been deepening our charisma and mission

  • Constituent Assembly 1983. Villa de Leyva (Colombia). Constitution of motion and approval on Sourcebook.
  • II Assembly 1987 Florencio Varela (Argentina) Sourcebook is revised and the organizational rules (laws) segregated
  • III Assembly 1991 Madrid (Spain) Servants of the Gospel and the transformer action.
  • VI Assembly 1995 Campinas (Brazil) The secular Claretian Community Contrast
  • V 1999 Assembly St. Domingo (Dominican Republic) Lay Claretian: contrast community called to the prophetic mission
  • VI Assembly 2003 Vic (Spain) The Mission of the Lay Claretian at the current moment.
  • VII 2007 Mixco Assembly (Guatemala) Spirituality of the Lay Claretian
Now we have just completed our 25th anniversary, we reflect on ourselves, on the movement itself. On his way to being, feeling and relating to God and man. 25 are long enough to know if we're realizing the dream of God, if we are faithful to the inspiration of the Spirit. We intend to reflect on the present and the future of the Lay Claretian on the image we have of ourselves and how we look in a few years.

To this end, different communities have continued to lay a dynamic work that began a few months ago and ending in the Assembly. So far, the assemblies were prepared with a previous works primarily requiring intellectual effort. This time we will try to get to the heart of communities, through a proposal to try in addition, exercise feelings and emotions. Because of what the heart is full the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34), I hope we to know our real own, the one that configures us as we are and drives us in what we do. That work during these months is public and available here.

We hope that this blog is a communication tool, not only lay Claretian who do not attend the assembly, but with all our dear Claretian Family, and any internet user who is interested in this vocation of evangelization.

Warmest regards

Tino Rodriguez
Secretary General
